XNTRIK is not the type of band that you would call normal. They're not freaks of nature or anything like that, but they are different in their own way.

Drums and percussion.First the serious stuff... The current line-up has been together since 1999, but the band has existed since 1992 and here are a few of the highlights:
In 1992, before they had even set foot on stage, XNTRIK released an 11 song independent tape called 'XNTRIK VOLUME ONE'. They started off with their album release/stage debut at a sold out Purple Onion (located in Oshawa, Ontario) show.
Throughout the last five years, XNTRIK has had their songs played on Q-107 (Toronto, Ontario), WVBR (Ithica, New York), 97.7 HTZ FM (St. Catherines, Ontario) and CHMR (St. John's, Newfoundland) . With the help of the Q-107 'Discovery' show, XNTRIK gained opportunities to play both a 'Q-107 Presents' show at Quinns in Toronto, and two University Of Toronto Varsity Blues tailgate parties/half-time shows at Varsity Stadium in Toronto.
In early 1995, XNTRIK released their second endeavour, 'Kiss The Cow', a full length independent CD. The song 'The Chase' placed 26'th overall in Q-107's 1995 Homegrown contest. They were also semi-finalists in the Hard Rock Cafe's Rockin' Roll Fantasy '96 contest.
In early 1997, Mark Konarowski joins the band and takes over the lead vocal role. He is thrown right into the studio to record the vocals for 'FOCUS'.
Winter of 1998, XNTRIK released their second CD 'Focus'. Pre-production and mixing by Pete Lesperance (Harem Scarem, Rubber, Fairground). The CD includes 9 new songs, two re-makes with Mark on vocals and a bonus live track called 'Submission'....something only those who have read this know since the song title is not listed on the CD!.
Spring of 2000, XNTRIK began writing/demoing their third CD (Yet to be titled) while performing live with the likes of Canadian Icon Kim Mitchell.
Currently, XNTRIK is on sabbatical with talks of recording their third CD/DVD in the works. No shows scheduled. Each member is doing their own thing at the moment. Joe has put together a retrospective on DVD if anyone is interested. Email us if you are.
